Anti-inflammatory Smoothie

Serves 1

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 small piece of peeled fresh ginger root

  • 1 small piece of peeled fresh turmeric ( or ¼ tsp. of powder)

  • ¼ tsp. chia seeds

  • 1/2 cup frozen mango

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 2 walnuts

  • Pinch of cinnamon

METHOD

  1. Blend to desired consistency adding a little ice if you like, while blending.

  2. Top w/ hemp hearts or seeds

Recovery Smoothie

This recovery smoothie is packed with nutrients known to help decrease inflammation and in turn, speed up muscle recovery for the WIN !

Ingredients

  • 1/2 apple, cored and chopped

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple

  • 3/4 cup water or coconut water

  • 1/2 cup baby kale

  • 1/4-1/2 small avocado

  • 1-2 teaspoons lemon juice

  • 1 knob fresh ginger

  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

  • 1 teaspoon of hemp hearts

  • Dash of ground turmeric

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender. Blend until smooth, adding additional water until the smoothie is the texture and consistency you enjoy.

Pineapple Smoothie with a kick of kale

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chopped kale leaves w/ out the stems

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or any plantbased milk you like)

  • 1 frozen cut medium banana

  • 1/4-1/2 cup frozen pineapple pieces

  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter or almond butter

Directions:

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Add more milk as needed. Enjoyed chilled.  Enjoy!
